F.A.Q.s

The following are the most common questions asked of us. Alternatively, if you already have a Website hosted with us, you may browse our Knowledge Base.

It's all too much. Where do I start?

At the very beginning: contact us. Many new clients find that a quick chat on the telephone is often the easiest way to find out if they want to work with us. You can also e-mail or even, (Good Lord!), write us a letter.

What are your charges?

Our prices for template designs are detailed here and in more detail here.

Bespoke Web design is priced according to requirements; is usually set as a flat fee; and is fully detailed in an estimate, following an initial discussion.

Hourly work is charged are at the rate of £30 per hour, whether for coding or design.

Why do you require staged advance payment?

Experience has taught us that a client who has invested in a project will have more interest in that project's development - which is ultimately good for your business. Keeping the wolves from the door is also motivational for us!

Which is best: template or custom design?

Swings and roundabouts. Templates are cheaper - bespoke design is tailored around the needs of you and your business.

A technically and visually well designed template can be an ideal solution for a small company seeking a basic Web presence. Our templates are also designed so that they may be modified and expanded: they can grow with you and your business.

In order to ensure a unique presence, and to make your Website fit your business, rather than the other way around, a bespoke Website is a necessity.

I've found a cheaper firm. Can you match their price?

No. Our design quality and work ethic dictate our (very fair) prices. We will not compete with an unknown quantity, who may well be offering shoddy workmanship and poor design at bargain-basement prices.

What about updates/maintenance?

You can choose to contract with us for a site maintenance agreement or pay for future updates by the hour.

Do you have links or affiliations with any other Design company?

No. Get Sticky Design is an independent Web design business operating in Reading, Berkshire, U.K. If you got here via a link on another Website, then it may be that the site was designed by us, or it may be one of my personal Websites, such as my travel photography Website, StickyRice.

I have not found the answer to my question here. What now?

Conatct us: we will be more than pleased to help, and look forward to your call.
